ALIGI VOLTAN
Born in Mestre in 1969, bassoonist Aligi Voltan studied at Venice Conservatory of Music. After graduating "cum laude", he attended post-graduate master classes with Ovidio Danzi and Stefano Canuti.
In 1994 he has joined the "Orchestra Haydn di Trento e Bolzano" and in 1995 the "La Grand Ecurie et la Chambre du Roy" Paris baroque orchestra under Jean Claude Malgoire featuring as Principal bassoonist throughout the Europe and Australia. He has also been featured with "Solisti Veneti" chamber ensemble, Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Treviso and Orchestra "La Fenice" in Venice.
Mr. Voltan joined the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto in july 1999 as Principal Bassoonist.
