FILIPPO JUVARRA
Filippo Juvarra attended his classical music education (cello) at Verona, Padova and Florence Conservatories and holds a bachelor's degree in jurisprudence (Padova, Ferrara and Bologna Universities).
He has followed cello masterclasses in Germany (Weimar and Darmstadt) and joined a grant by Zagabria Music Academy (Faculty of Music Sociology).
Between 1971 and 1980 he joined as cellist the Teatro La Fenice Orchestra and later became the principal assistant of Prof. Bortolotto at Venice University.
Since 1974 Mr. Juvarra serves as head librarian on the Padova Conservatory of Music.
He currently is the Artistic Director and also a former member of "Amici della Musica di Padova" Association since 1970/71 and Chairman of the "Amici della Musica" Venetian Association. Mr. Juvarra is also the artistic consultant of "Amici della Musica di Mestre" Association and member of the artistic committee of "Santa Cecilia" Foundation in Portogruaro - Venice. He has been a former member of "Amici della Musica di Vicenza" Association.
He also was a former Board member of AIAC committee in Rome and member of CIDIM's managing Committee since its foundation.
Filippo Juvarra is an associate professor at "Ca' Foscari" Venice University (Faculty of Letters and Philosophy- DUTARS).
Between 1984 and 1993 he joined the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto as principal assistant to the Artistic Direction and now he leads the chair of Artistic Manager.
